BS in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (Brazil, 1997); Master and Doctor degrees in Soil Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil, 2000 and 2003), with a training period at the Technical University of Munich (Germany, 2001/02). Associate Professor at the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Engineering at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR, Curitiba). Interest in areas of soil organic matter, carbon and nitrogen biogeochemistry, carbon sequestration and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in soil management and land use systems. Mentoring and research are developed under the Postgraduate Program in Soil Science/UFPR. Undergraduate teaching activities are developed in the Agronomy Course/UFPR. CNPq (PQ) fellow.
