Has a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2000), a Masters in Agricultural and Environmental Microbiology (UFRGS, 2003), a Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology (UFRGS, 2007), and a post-doctorate in Microbial Ecology at the University of Florida, USA (2008 to 2011). She is currently a Research Scientist at the Julius-Kühn Institute, Braunschweig, Germany. Her research projects aim to understand the effects of agricultural systems (climate change, plant management) on soil microbial communities and plant health.
