Microbial Communities in Soil Cultivated with Muskmelon under Different Management Systems
17/Oct/2016
ABSTRACT Microorganisms have a fundamental importance in agricultural ecosystems and may be influenced by several factors, including soil management. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of cropping systems and soil covers on the microbial community in soil cultivated with muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.). The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with four replications. The treatments were arranged in a split plot design with cropping systems (no-tillage and conventional tillage systems) assigned to the […]
The effect of winter plant cover and organic and, or, mineral fertilization on the bean/maize crop rotation
01/Dec/2000
This study was carried out to assess the influence of winter plant cover on the grain yield in the bean/maize crop rotation in a Structured Terra Roxa soil in the state of Santa Catarina. The plant cover consisted of an association of black oats (Avena stirgosa Schreb) with pasture turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) and organic fertilization with poultry manure and mineral fertilization. The soil cover influenced the grain yield in the bean plant, but not the maize. This may have […]
Influence of winter winter plant cover and organic and, or, mineral fertilizer on the physical properties of a Structured “Terra Roxa”
01/Dec/2000
This study was carried out to assess the influence of Winter plant cover on the physical soil properties in a Structured Terra Roxa soil in the state of Santa Catarina. The plant cover consisted of an association of black oats (Avena stirgosa Schreb) with pasture turnip (Raphanus sativus L.) and organic fertilization with poultry manure and 2 mineral fertilization. Soil samples collected in August 1994 and January 1995, at depths of 0-10, 10-20 and 20-30 cm, from an experiment started […]
